What is a complete model steam plant?
It is a miniature steam installation that combines an engine and boiler with the related steam hardware as a working, presented system.
Does Rocking Whale sell steam-engine kits?
Rocking Whale presents finished engines, boilers and complete steam installations for product evaluation and enquiries; the current range is not positioned as a kit range.
What fuel and water should be used to operate a complete tabletop steam plant safely?
Boilers must be filled to 70–80% capacity with distilled or demineralised water to prevent mineral scaling. Burners operate on high-purity denatured alcohol (≥95% purity) in well-ventilated environments.
What are the key differences between the BL1K, BC2 and BL2 complete steam sets?
BL1K is a single-cylinder marine-oriented plant with published boat sizing; BC2 is a compact mounted tabletop display plant; and BL2 provides a twin-cylinder engine configuration on a shared base for continuous torque delivery.
